Exploring different career paths? SFM is offering full-time business internships in the summer of 2025.
As a summer intern, you will participate as active team members by projecting a professional and customer-friendly image of SFM while performing various functions to support the department assigned to. You will grow your critical thinking and time management skills and to apply them to various situations. Internships will develop independent work habits and help you gain familiarity with the internal operations and best practices of SFM.
General office duties include data entry, document generation, using software specific to SFM, basic investigation tasks, and customer service. These are a temporary roles and the perfect opportunity to launch a career in the insurance industry as part of a growing company.
Areas of focus
Human Resources
Develop knowledge about corporate insurance functions and the specialty marketplace.
Underwriting
Work alongside underwriters to learn what goes into writing workers’ comp insurance policies.
Data Analytics
Assist in conducting research, analyzing claim and policy data, and providing recommendations.
Loss Prevention
Learn the life cycle of workers’ comp claims, how to assess risk, and other safety activities.
