Iowa Supreme Court says workers’ compensation surveillance footage need not be disclosed before deposition

The Supreme Court of Iowa has reversed a judgment made by former Iowa Workers’ Compensation Commissioner Christopher Godfrey on surveillance footage used in workers’ compensation cases.

The Supreme Court decided that Iowa Code section 85.27(2) does not require employers to provide surveillance footage to workers’ compensation claimants before they are deposed.
